What’s the Process of Braces?

The process of braces will vary slightly depending on your specific needs and treatment type. But generally, the process goes as follows:

Get a mold of your mouth so we have the exact shape of your teeth.
Glue the brackets in place and insert the wire.
Adjust the wires and band routine each visit to straighten teeth and fix jaw issues.
Monitor progress and make adjustments in treatment as necessary.
Take off the braces, fit you for a retainer, and enjoy a brand new smile!

Will My Insurance Cover Braces?

It’ll depend on your insurance, whether the treatment is cosmetic or medical, and also the type of braces. If braces are the alternative to jaw surgery, you’ll likely be able to have them covered. At Martin Orthodontics, we also believe that the jaw and teeth can impact the whole of your health, so we’ll help you determine if braces are medically necessary.
